Formas grants MSEK 38+30+15

Formas Scientific Council has resolved to grant:

  • MSEK 38 for research into sustainable renovation, inter alia the how much weight cultural and historical, architectural and social values are accorded in relation to environmental considerations in conjunction with renovation, and what environmental impact discharges from the recycled materials have when they are reused.
  • MSEK 30 for research into cities in the process of change, inter alia the effect of the expected climate changes and how these can be alleviated, and the way tools are developed for measuring and describing the effect of social, economic and ecological changes at local level.
  • MSEK 15 for research into sustainable development of the built environment, inter alia the way a good indoor environment is combined with energy effectivisation in residential and nonresidential premises, and the way an assessment is made as to which renovation options are best in regard to aesthetics, energy effectivisation, indoor environment and moisture.
