The Swedish Environment Protection Agency has selected nine good examples of how, by changing to environmental forms of energy and making energy use more effective, it is possible to save money and help reduce climate changes.
The projects now highlighted concern recovery and utilisation of waste heat, expansion of district heating networks and makeing lighting in business premises and hospitals more energy effective. The projects can also support and strengthen development of Swedish energy technology exports.
Many of the projects which received support act as demonstration installations, and there has been great interest in study vists, with delegates from e.g. China and Brazil. These good examples are located at Alvesta, Härnösand, Karlstad, Lilla Edet, Lindesberg, Sandviken, Tranås, Ulricehamn and Västervik.
