Pollutants and gender
How are women and men affected by environmentally hazardous compounds? Is there any difference in the way women and men are exposed to environmental pollutants and the way their bodies take up and metabolise the pollutants? And what are the effects of environmentally hazardous compounds, depending on whether they are acting on a woman or a man? Ten researchers will share MSEK 30 to study this.
Rural assets
17 researchers will share MSEK 45 to research into rural development. The research shall chiefly deal with natural resources and the countryside for the production of “new” assets, the local community, demography, and the relation between town and countryside.
Sustainable buildings
16 researchers will share MSEK 25 to study the construction and management process in its entirety - from planning, design, construction, management, operation, maintenance to renovation and decommissioning. The selected projects focus on long term sustainable development.
