In the autumn of 2008, a comprehensive campaign on environmental technology and energy effectivisation was launched in Sweden. The company Sustainable Innovation AB, which has more than a dozen members including Swedish Power, Cooperative Building Organisation, Fortum, Telenor, Sixth AP Fund and Göteborg Energy, was founded at this time.
The company is engaged on development projects either with individual member companies or with a number of companies in the form of collaborative projects. Swedish Energy Agency provides support for this activity.
Sustainable Innovation has its premises in Prästgården on Skeppsholmen in Stockholm. Its goal is to create an "energy effectivisation centre" for meetings between decision makers in business, politics and administration, and to display a combined Swedish technical know-how to the world.
